Dr. Sarah Schirmer appointed by Gov. Andy Beshear as member of Eating Disorder Council
June 26, 2025School of Nursing assistant professor Dr. Sarah Schirmer, DNP will spend the next two years as a member of the Eating Disorder Council. Schirmer received this honor after being nominated by the Kentucky Association of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives.
Schirmer has over 15 years of experience in mental health care, including her work at the Louisville Center for Eating Disorder since its inception in 2017.

Schirmer works with specialized teams to treat patients diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder and eating disorders.
We are so excited for Schirmer and grateful for her representing the School of Nursing in this capacity.
